This was my first time going up to Mount Davidson. I haven’t been back since unfortunately, but I would love to do a shoot up here. It is so beautiful, its a bit of a hike on the way up, but once you get up there its worth it. The hike up is green and beautiful, so mossy and filled with gorgeous trees. Up at the top you will find #thatsftree most of the time in the midst of Karl the Fog. I love these random little quirks of San Francisco. I went up here to meet up with some friends on a chilly January day. You might recognize Lindsay and Charlie, my favorite pup and mama duo. I managed to climb up on the tree and sat there for a few minutes before my bum froze off. I look forward to trekking back up here again, hopefully on a foggy day for a shoot or just an adventure.
If you know me then you know I’m obsessed with dogs. I love puppies and have grown up with them. Since moving away from home I’ve really missed having a furry friend of my own. So whenever I manage to make friends that have dogs it makes me really happy. I met Lindsay and Charlie it was a match made in heaven. I love getting to explore with these two. They are perfectly adorable for photos and always willing to adventure with me (dream friends right there). We decided to go up to Bernal Heights and walk through the neighborhood a bit. It was a beautiful day, a little clear, a little hazy and it seriously felt amazing out. I definitely hope to explore this neighborhood more, we walked on the “downtown area” a bit and I definitely want to explore the shops and food a bit more.
A few weeks ago my friend Emma visited while she was in town for a wedding. This girl is just like super cute (obviously cause I’m only friends with cute people, right? haha). Anyways, even though I was sick most of her visit we still made the most of her time in town and took her to lots of fun places. Of course on her first day (new years day) we had to take her up to Twin Peaks because it was a beautifully clear day. You could see the whole bay that day. We stood up there with a million and one tourists and took some photos until we froze our buns off and headed down the peak. It’s always windy and cold up at Twin Peaks during the afternoon (a little bit of a different story possibly in the early morning but what would I know I’m not a morning person). I love the sweeping views of the bay that you can get on a clear day up here. You can see all the way to Oakland on a day like this. We were all frozen after the sunset so we headed home to the East Bay, but if you ever visit San Francisco Twin Peaks is definitely a must see.
